new year

so i realised that my blog is rubbishy. as a new years resolution im going to try and make it better. other resolutions:
- instead of sitting on facebook, revise
- question whether i actually need things before i buy them
- try not to fail my exams and pay attention in school
- save my money lotts
- eat healthily and do a bit more exercise
- persuade people to go on bike rides with me, i swear nobody else but me enjoys them aha

i haven't posted for a while because my family have been up from london for the past few days. it was really cute, and we had a sort of second christmas with turkey and presents, twas good!

for some mad mad reason i braved the sales on boxing day. even though they were rubbish i decided to try again, but at the metro centre the other day. i bought a kimono from topshop, shorts from mango and a jumper from mango. later i'll post photos and show you what i got for christmas aswell :)

ballet influence

ballet is a huge influence on fashion, the shoes, the colours, the skirts and the wrap around cardigan have all been adapted for everyone to wear. ballet is a favourite past time for all. if you are well off you'll go and see the ballet, and most children will attend ballet classes, so it has a grasp on families alike. with the black swan expected to be a massive hit, and rodarte to be designing the costumes, ballet is going to become a bigger hit in fashion than it already is...

how cool are these photos? when they started to build all the famous skyscrapers in New York there obviously wasn't a strict health and safety regulation between the builders haha. i love the photo of the sailor and woman kissing, it looks so spontaneous and elegant. there's so much speculation around whether this photo is staged, but i really hope it isn't as it looks so romantic, it makes you believe in true love.

leather shorts

for a while now i've wanted a pair of not-skinny leather shorts. the other day my friend bought really cool ones from topshop:

Topshop- £38

yeah i love the zips on them, so cool! however they looked really weird on me. cos im really small i dont suit things that are stick out too obviously. my friend on the other hand is about 5ft 8 so looked really nice in them :) ages ago asos sold a pair that had like little laser cuttings out of them. ive just found them in 'mushroom' (this makes them sound d-isgusting, but they're actually quite a nice colour).

i'm really tempted to get these. however, i wanted black leather shorts, cos i thought that they'd go well with this navy and polka dot blouse i have, and a pale pink blouse, and a floral top, and well most tops i own haha! these are a really cool colour, but so wouldn't go with as much. hmm maybe i could just buy both black and 'mushroom' haha. there's another pair on asos that are from river island. these are black witht he same laser cutting things, i really like these too.

these would be perfect if it wasn't for those stupid pleats. also, the fabric doesn't look as soft as the mushroom ones. however, they are more high waisted, which is what i was wanting. hmm decisions decisions.

if i had a higher budget, i'd settle on one of these instead:

i know these aren't leather, but i found them and they needed to be shown. wow they are so beautiful! i love the little lace endings, the shape and the beads. everything about them is just so beautiful. 

Helmut Lang- my favorite

these are the coolest leather shorts ever. you so could never find anything like this on the high street, their leather shorts look cheap & nasty compared to these. the material is just amazing.

Alexander Wang

usually i have a real thing about brown leather. i don't know why, i just dont particularly like it. but i actually prefer these shorts in the brown to the black. they have a total cowboy vibe, and i think that they'd look better worn without tights than the others will. 

i'm really craving some leather shorts now haha! hopefully in the january sales i'll manage to snag a pair. i'm also really hoping that those DVF shorts go in the sale in the new year too!

space influence

when i was little i really wanted a telescope to look out at space. considering that i lived in london, i never really got to see anything exciting in the sky, so when we'd go on holiday be amazed by the stars. im not as fascinated by it anymore, and no longer want a telescope haha. but i've gotta admit, space is cool. if i had the guts (and the money) i'd totally wear the clothes in these pictures... 

viktor & rolf s/s 10. when i first saw a photo of this dress a few months back i was mesmirised by it. the way that it appeared in grazia made it actually look like there was no middle, so so clever.

something very exciting happened today. the asos stuff that i wrote about the other day, which had been written off as lost came! i was so excited, as i had really been wanting that dress. i wasnt sure about it at first, but after a while it grew on me and it'll be perfect for weddings etc in the summer. id post a picture of it, but it's currently wrapped under my christmas tree and it's no longer on the website. i also got these cuties:

I'm addicted to gossip girl, and i swear that the main reason for this is due to Ed Westwick. could he actually get more perfect? his voice is so smooth, and the way he dresses...wow. he's so not the type of person i usually find attractive, but i think if i met him i'd actually be speechless. haha okay i'm totally rambling, but i think in real life with his english accent, mm <3 and now he's in a band.... wow. okay im going to stop telling you everything i love about Ed Westwick now and show you some b-e-a-u-tiful photos of him...

could he get any more perfect? the last photo actually makes me so sad, haha i swear i actually cried at that episode! i get waaaay too involved with gossip girl. i swear half of my conversations revolve around this guy! haha

in my eyes kate moss is one of the most beautiful people to ever walk this planet. there is something so innocent about her face when she was younger, and as she's grew older her cheekbones have become more prominent, and her look overall is more sophisticated. another thing about kate moss is her fashion- which is brilliant! she just seems to pull everything off so effortlessly. if you see kate moss out in cowprint 3/4 flare trousers (which she has been seen in before) you are tempted to buy a pair. the thing about her though, only she can get away with the obscure choices she makes and not look like shes an extra in a pantomine. wow, to spend 5 minutes talking to kate moss, i dont think i would be able to utter one syllable!

asos, teacups and christmas

today my asos stuff finally arrived. about three weeks ago i ordered some stuff for christmas for me: the cape coat i've previously shown, a pair of heels and a gorgeous dress from pepe jeans. after about a week it still hadnt arrived, and when i checked on the website it told me that it had. so i checked with the post office, my neighbours and any 'safe spots' like asos told me to, to no avail. (is that the correct way of saying it?). they finally responded by saying that infact my order is lost, and that they'll renew it, however the dress is now out of stock so i wont be able to get that -.- . i was so annoyed, as the dress was what i'd been really looking forward to. so today, three weeks after i first ordered my shoes and cape coat have finally arrived. i think the heels are a tad too high for me, but the cape is so perfectly cool! i cant wait to get it on christmas day.

this year me and my friends have all done secret santa. i bought my friend a necklace, a teacup and this really cool rubber. however, i broke the teacup and have since lost the rubber :(. the teacup was the cutest thing ever from joy in york, but when i was in the toilets at the station i hung the bag on the back of the door and it fell, and everything smashed. i have since bought a new teacup for £2.50 less, which is equally cute. however, ive only just realised that the rubbers gone missing. i only got it yesterday, and suddenly its gone on walkies in my bedroom, strange.
the teacup that i originally bought her has since been glued back together. obviously i cant give it to her for a present, so ive kept it in my room with a tealight in for decoration haha.

winter shorts, part II

urgh, i so wish that they had my size. i dont usually like stuff like this, im usually quite girly, but recently i've got quite into buying black stuff aha, and i love the little skulls on these, theyre so cute! the little butterfly zip is such a cute touch as well, really hoping that they restock them :( i dont think ive ever ever seen anything on boohoo before, so never really go on it, but i was after some cream suede high waisted shorts so thought it'd be worth a try, i didnt find any but i also found some nice floral shorts im thinking of buying:

celine forever

anybody who owns this bag is one lucky person! everything about this bag is beautiful, from the colour to the simple clasp. how can a bag so simple be sooo good? its a shame about the hefty price tag that comes with it. seriously, why is celine so incredibly expensive?! :(  i can so imagine this bag being the kind that you'd use forever and ever though, when im older and if ever im rich a celine bag will be one of the first things i purchase.

i'm aware of how rubbishy my blog is at the moment, but nobody goes on it. the other day i got so excited cos i had one viewer, then realised it was myself from earlier on haha, oops.
i'm meant to be seeing pendulum on thursday, but im still not sure if i actually have tickets. i've already seen them twice before in the summer; once at leeds and once at sonisphere, but it'd be good to see them in their own concert.

this weekend was alright, on friday i just stayed in and watched the semi-final of i'm a celebrity, which was so unexciting. then on saturday i went to work and for once didnt buy anything, probably something to do with the fact im in the minuses when it comes to money at the moment :( afterwards i finally went to see the new harry potter movie, and it was so worth the wait!
on the night my friend was holding a harry potter drinking game party, which was the funniest thing ever. you had to take a shot every time hermionie got angry, everytime harry was told he was a wizard, when ron pulls his face and so on. we ended up watching about 4 harry potters and then some freaky movie that i hid from. sunday was awful as i'd had about an hours sleep saturday night and wasnt feeling too great and had a massive history essay to do :(
currently it is -2 degrees out with snow on the ground and our boilers decided to break so no radiators for us :(

snow day number two

so today when i woke up the first thing i did was go on facebook. this is becoming a bit of a habit recently, as whenever school's cancelled people talk about it on fb, so i dont have to get out of bed and ring up or anything. i was so suprised to see that my school had actually bothered to notify us before half 8 that school would be cancelled today! however, this snow day is turning out to be not quite as fun as mondays. i dont like the idea of going out in this snow, and i cant be bothered contacting anyone to see if theyre free to have a movie day, so im sat in feeling a little lonely and sad. until i stumbled across this:

start of the christmas countdown

so today's the first of the december, the first advent chocolate! i was so excited to open the little door on my hello kitty. im such a little kid when it comes to christmas haha.

why does my house not look this nice at christmas? 
ew I don't know why, but everytime i look back at this post the photo ruins it for me. however i can't find a better one. a few years back grazia did this article on designers and their christmas trees, i so wish i could stick a picture from that on! 

i finished school at 12 today, so went back to a friends for a bit then walked on home. i hadnt realised until i got home that id left both of the keys that i carry around with me in another bag, and nobody was in. so i was stood outside for an hour and a half in the freezing cold. not fun.
this is a quick but really rubbishy blog post i know, but i dont think anyone reads it anyway :( i havent had any viewers since i figured out how to make sure that it didnt count my views haha. i should probably make it more interesting and do actual outfit posts, but at the moment its so cold everything is just covered up with the same coat and just a different scarf every day, not very exciting. we've had snow where i live for about a week now, and i think im kind of getting sick of it now :(
my mums been avidly checking the weather report all week for the faint chance of the snow lifting, and it seems that her wish has finally been granted cos as of tomorow the weather man promises no more snow. so this means i dont have to go out in ugly plastic shoes and wear 5 pairs of tights leaving me with fat looking legs. anyway if anyones actually bothered to read this im sorry for being such a bore, i just have nothing interesting to say. besides the fact that ive finally figured out how to use ebay and sold a load of random stuff nothings going on. soon if im wearing something that i like i'll post it
