top celebrity dressers of 2010

hi, I'm actually embarrassed about how crappy my blog is, so i decided i'd do a little 'my top fashion icons of 2010.' they do a similar thing in Grazia, and every year i look forward for that issue. so here is my top ten fashion icons of the last year...

Alexa Chung

this was the year that Alexa Chung broke away from her typically 'sixth-form' approach to fashion and started to dress in a way that gave her attention from some of the most creditworthy people. still she pays homage to her vintage love in her outfits, showing that although money buys nice clothes, it doesn't necessarily buy the best style.

  

2. Blake Lively

as well as being drop dead gorgeous and having the most perfect figure ever, Blake Lively has gorgeous style. although she is often accused for her over-usage of her legs and boobs, blake lively (and serena van der woodsen) always seems to have on stunning outfit. the fashion world, including Anna Wintour and Karl Lagerfield(!) have fallen in love with her. 

3. Emma Watson

wow, how is it even possible for this girl to have become so stylish?like seriously, she used to be this girl in weird dresses at he premieres, and suddenly she's broke out from dressing like hermionie and instead is wearing burberry, chanel and all these fabulous designers! she always looks so sleek and clean cut, love love love this girl!

4. carey mulligan

i love carey mulligans style because its totally different to other celebrities style, who seem to be intent of dressing in a way to appeal to men. she always seems to have made a bit of an effort, but not so much that she overdoes it. she seems to have the nicest dresses ever and a wardrobe that many girls would covet.

5. Olivia Palermo

i was sceptical about putting her on here, cos i have a bit of a 'love hate' relationship with her. on the city she comes across as the bitchiest person ever, which in a way is actually appealing, and then in interviews she seems so sweet and nice, which makes her seem a bit contradicting. but aside from our 'differences' you've gotta hand it to her, that girls got style. whether it be casual or to some fancy fashion thing, she always is deemed the more fashionable against her co-stars.she's terrifyingly sleek and sophisticated, a way in which if i met her i'd be worried incase i said something immature, or had a thread hanging from my top. oh- and she's just so pretty!

6. Sarah Jessica Parker/ Carrie Bradshaw

when i saw this photo of SJP in this dress i was literally gobsmacked, i didnt know that she still had it in her fashionwise. this year sjp stepped out of the shadows of her 'harrased mum' clothes and back into the designer heels we know and love her for wearing as carrie bradshaw. i must admit that my main love for sjp comes from carrie and her wardrobe, but this year the items i have been coveting were more the ones sjp wore to the many premieres of SATC2.

anyway thank you for reading, haha i know 6 is a bit of a weird number to finish on but i'm in desperate need to do my cw so will come back to it at a later date, unproffesional-oui?
